Debra “Deb” Ann Wood, 61, of Fish Lake, passed away peacefully at 10:45 a.m., Sunday, April 15, 2018 in her home.
She was born December 14, 1956, in Waukegan, IL, to James Young and Billie Jean (Schoolcraft) Sabau.
Deb was a press operator for ten plus years at American Rubber, La Porte. She enjoyed fishing with her granddaughter and riding her motorcycle with her husband. Deb was a past member of the Sinner’s Bikers’ Club, La Porte. She enjoyed traveling to South Dakota and camping in the mountains.
On December 31, 1996, in Walkerton, Indiana, she married Terry Wood Sr., who survives.
Also surviving are one daughter, Christie (Jorge Jr.) Lopez of Michigan City; four step children, Terry Wood Jr. of Kingsford Heights, Rodney Wood of Fish Lake, Tammy (Mike) Cunningham of Westville and Tina (John) Fezy of CA; one granddaughter, Felicity Lopez; several step grandchildren; and her special kitty, Tom.
Preceding her in death were her parents; one son, Michael E. Hurd; sister, Connie McCarty; step mother, Elizabeth Young; and step father, Gabriel Sabau.
