Arlene L. Reed, 67, rural Marble, died Sunday, January 6, 2019 in her home.

Born July 20, 1951 in Grand Rapids, she was the daughter of Arnold and Mavis (Dahlen) Vann. A resident of Itasca County most of her life, Arlene was a Grand Rapids High School graduate and a graduate of Bemidji State University. She had been a public school teacher, a community education director, and was a former member of the Zion Lutheran Church of Grand Rapids. Arlene and James A. Reed were married in Beltrami County.

Her parents, and a brother, Chris Vann preceded her in death.

Survivors include her husband, James; a daughter, Nicole (Rafael) Vasquez; and siblings, Jean Christy, Bud Vann, Alan (Susan) Vann, and Oly (Patty) Vann.

At Arlene’s request, there will be no funeral services.
