He livde most of his life in Bay County. He attended Mosley High School, and received his Correction Officer Certification from Gulf Coast College. He was a USMC veteran, and worked at the Bay Correction Facility for over 20 years. He was preceded in death by his parents Billy Mixon and Inez Keller; step-father Frank Keller; and a brother, David Mixon. Survivors include his wife of 37 years, Regina Mixon; his children, Jonathan Mixon and Jennifer Mixon, both of Panama City; his siblings, Judy Bryer (Paul) of Colorado; Charles Mixon (Rhonda) of Panama City, Douglas Mixon (Veronica) of Panama City, Frank Keller (Michelle) of Youngstown and Melissa Mitchell (Patrick) of Panama City; his grandchildren, Clay and Quinn Mixon.
