Daniel Frank Bates, 65, passed away Monday, July 29, 2019 at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center in Idaho Falls, Idaho from complications of cancer.

Funeral services are pending under the Anderson Family Funeral Home.

Our beloved husband, father, brother, Papa, and friend Daniel Frank Bates passed away from this Earth July 29, 2019 due to complications from cancer.

He was born December 31,1953 to Don Arlin and Ilene(Woodbridge) Bates in Arco, Idaho. Dan spent his childhood and early years in the Lost River Valley. He loved fishing, hunting, camping and dirt road drives. He was also a lifelong fan of the Dallas Cowboys and seldom missed a game. He spent his last years in Idaho Falls.

He is survived by his wife Brenda Leigh Bates; two sons and two daughters; two brothers, Bryce and David; two sisters, Tami and Surley; grandchildren, and many nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his father, mother, sisters Jodene and Teresa, his brother Jack and his daughter Cyndel Jolein Bates.

Funeral Services will be held August 12, 2019 at 7:30 p.m. at the Anderson Family Funeral Home, 2555 N. Highway 93, Arco, Idaho. A viewing will be held from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment will be in the Hillcrest Cemetery in Arco.
