Kathy was raised on the south-end and east side of Bridgeport, CT. She attended the Bridgeport Public School systems. She also attended both Warren Harding High School and Bullard Havens Technical School. She continued her education at Housatonic Community College, where she received credits.
Kathy was free spirited. She loved to cook; most of all she loved to eat. She was an avid reader. She enjoyed listening to music and watching comedy and drama movies. Her favorite past time activity was doing crossword puzzles. She looked forward to traveling yearly on family trips to North Carolina and Florida.
Kathy was predeceased by her late husband John (Jackie) Cox and her grandson Ravon Cox. She leaves to cherish her memory her parents Joe Louis McNair, Sr. and Betty Sue McNair of Bridgeport, four sisters, Cynthia McNair of Shelton, Vickie Felisbret, Gwen (McNair) Anderson, Latonya McNair all of Bridgeport, one brother Joe Louis McNair, Jr. (Steve) of MA, one daughter, Sakenna Cox of Bridgeport, two sons, Johnnie Cox (Deanna) of Derby, Marquis Cox of Bridgeport, four grandchildren, Tahira Cox, Aryon Cox, Johnna Cox, Johnathan Cox, ten nieces, Sheneta Dailey (Richard), Tequisha Ivory (Pedro), Jasmine Johnson, Jekiya Geter, Destiny Holland, Shakaya McNair, Jaylynn McNair, Jevonnie Geter, Ryan Ivory-Rodriguez, Jayla Geter, ten nephews, Jevon Geter, Sr. (Shakeia), Damon McNair (Betsy), Thomas Bass, DeShaun McNair, Rubin, Brandon, Justin, Dylan Ivory-Rodriguez, Anthony Bommarito, Jevon Geter, Jr. and a host of other relatives and friends.
