Lester R Comstock: Son and first child of the the 5 children of Henry Merimon Comstock & Gertrude Verity Comstock.

Pensioned Veteran of World War II as Staff Sergeant in the US Army Air Force. He survived the bombings of London England.

Worked as a tool & dye maker in Rochester New York at which he was highly gifted and skilled. He also built a wooden boat while residing in Stuart Florida.

A loving son, he cared for his invalid mother in the last years of her life, helping her to transfer from bed to wheelchair and back.

He died during hospitalization at the Canandaigua Veterans Hospital in Ontario County New York at the age of 63y 10m 24d. Remembered by his sisters Ruth and Eddythe and their children, his 9 nieces and nephews, and his many cousins.

Gravesite Details

There are two markers: one is an in-ground military plaque and the other a stone with military marker. They are located at the south end of the cemetery in what is called "the triangle" in row 4, called row D, west from the single pine tree.
