Ron BRIGGS Ron Briggs died on June 15, 2011 while waiting for a second work shift. He was born in Maine on March 20, 1950. Ron was an off trail hiker who loved the Central Cascades. He was also a horticulturalist having worked at a green house in Spokane one summer, and he kept a green house where he grew a variety of plants including tomatoes, lettuce, and 'popular herbs'. Ron began driving the bus for King County Metro Transit in 1979. He is survived by sons Matt Briggs and Jesse Briggs. He is also survived by his sister, Sarah Smith, brother Norville Briggs, and two grandchildren Riley and Colin. A memorial service will be held at 4:00 p.m.at the Barn Shelter in the Tolt-MacDonald Park in Carnation, WA.
