Born in Black Creek Township, Luzerne County on November 8, 1940, she was a daughter of the late Marvin C. and Malinda C. (Sherman) Keller. She was a lifelong resident of the Bloomsburg area.
Barbara was last employed at the former Susan Spinning Mill and previously at the former Orangeville Nursing Home as an aide for many years.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Barbara Hunsinger; a son, Roger Johns; two brothers: Jackson Keller and Merlin S. Keller; and a sister, Betty Fisher.
Barbara is survived by her husband Roland E. "Sonny" Johns, with whom she observed a 60th wedding anniversary on August 8, 2019; a daughter, Roseshell Harner, Berwick; four grandchildren: Allen Hunsinger, Benton; Sharon Blalock, Berwick; Roland Harner, Mifflinville; Dakota Harner, Mifflinville; five great-grandchildren; five sisters: Helen Longenberger and Fern Armstrong, both of Bloomsburg; Mary Cool, Danville; Minnie Hess and Edna, wife of Daniel Makara, all of Bloomsburg. There are also a number of nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be held on Tuesday, August 6, 2019, at 10 a. m. in New Rosemont Cemetery, Old Berwick Road, Bloomsburg (Espy).
Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of the Dean W. Kriner, Inc., Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 325 Market St., Bloomsburg.
