HELEN M KRATZ
Helen M. Kratz, 84, of Norristown, passed away Monday, July 29, 2019. She was the beloved wife of Ellis F. Kratz with whom she recently celebrated their 58th wedding anniversary.
Born July 7, 1935, in Tylersport, PA, she was the daughter of the late E. Paul S. and Anna (Blank) Barndt.
Most of Helen’s youth and adult life she grew up on the farm. She was a member of Central Schwenkfelder Church, Lansdale. Some of her interests were gardening and traveling with her husband stateside and abroad. Over the years Helen overcame many severe medical conditions, beating all odds along the way, including her continued courageous battle with cancer.
Along with her husband, she is survived by three children, Allen Kratz (Karen), of Pottstown, Virgil Kratz (Angie), of Reading and Ruth Kratz, of Trappe; grandchildren, Marissa, Daniel, Nathan and Brock; sister, Catherine Hangey, of Sellersville; sister-in-law Anna Barndt, of Telford, along with many loving nieces and nephews.
She is predeceased by siblings, Dorothy Evans, E. Carl, Samuel, Linford and Harvey Barndt, Martha Pizza and Arlene Smith.
The family will receive friends starting 10 a.m. Friday, August 2, 2019, at Central Schwenksfelder Church, 2111 S. Valley Forge Road, Lansdale, PA 19446, with the Funeral at 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow in the adjacent cemetery. Huff & Lakjer Funeral Home, 701 Derstine Ave., Lansdale, PA 19446
