Joann Wilson 85 of Follansbee, WV died peacefully on Tuesday, July 30, 2019 with her daughters by her side at Brightwood Center.

Born on August 29, 1933 in Follansbee, WV a daughter of the late Silven and Freda (Snodgrass) Shook. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband, Clyde Wilson, her son, Eric Sellers, and a sister, Jacqueline Martin.

Joann graduated from Follansbee High School. Many will remember her from the places she has worked such as the Wellsburg American Legion, the former Zeek’s Diner in Wellsburg, WV, and as an E.M.T. with the Brooke County Ambulance Service. She was Christian by faith.

She is survived by two daughters, Connie Young of Steubenville, OH, and Karen Scheetz of Colliers, WV, four stepchildren, Kelly Wilson of Weirton, WV, Mark (Bonnie) Wilson of Wellsburg, WV, Cheryl (Paul) Griffinberg of Weirton, WV, and Leslie (James) Feist of Wellsburg, WV; a sister, Barbara Jean Geary of Follansbee, WV, and a brother, Terry (Jennie) Shook of Arizona; and several grandchildren and great grandchildren.

There will be no visitation.
All services and inurnment will be held privately.
