Alfred S. Casella, 61, of Gibbstown passed away Tuesday, June 26, 2007, at his residence.

A lifelong resident of the Swedesboro-Woolwich Township area, he moved to Gibbstown several years ago. He was a farmer, and part-owner and operator for Casella Bros. in Woolwich Township. Fred was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Swedesboro and was active with the St. Alfio and St. Joseph's day committees. He was a graduate of St. James High School in Carneys Point, a member of the Raccoon Club in Swedesboro and enjoyed hunting, snowmobiling and playing cards.

He is survived by his children, Alfio and Dana Casella of Mickleton; his former wife, Donna (Musumeci) of Mickleton; and his sisters, Angela Falciani of Woolwich Township, Judy Scott of Mullica Hill, Josephine Haas of Yardley, Pa., Lucy D'Angelo of Kennett Square, Pa., and Mary Wassenberg of Miami. He was predeceased by his brothers, Sam, Benny and Frank.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Joseph's Church, Broad Street, Swedesboro. Interment will be at St. Joseph Cemetery in Woolwich Township. Friends may call from 6 to 9 p.m. today and at 8:45 a.m. Saturday at Cheega Funeral Home, 1329 Kings Highway, Swedesboro.
