Joshua “Josh” Morgan Adams, 39, of New Concord, died Monday (July 29, 2019) at his home.
He was born November 23, 1979 in Parkersburg WV, son of James M. Adams and Karen E. (Perrin) Adams.
A 1998 graduate of John Glenn High School, Josh had worked in the oil field industry as a well tender for many years.
Josh coached all of his son’s sports, especially Youth basketball.
He raced go-carts in his youth and later raced modified, street stock, and late model dirt track cars. In his spare time, he enjoyed attending dirt track races and golfing.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Denzel & Josephine Adams and John & Elaine Perrin; and three uncles, Roger “Skeet” Adams, Bradley “Mick” Adams, and Robert “Bob” Perrin.
Josh is survived by his wife, Chantelle Andrew Adams; his parents, James M. and Karen Adams; two sons, Justin M. Adams and Jameson M. Adams both of the home; a sister, Whitney Adams of Columbus; his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Jim and Vicky Andrews of Barnesville; a brother-in-law, Jerry Andrews of Hendrysburg; nephew and niece, Aydan and Anna Andrews both of Hendrysburg; a special aunt, Jackie (& Ed) Broome; his uncles, Edward “Bud” (& Connie) Adams and Gary “Sammy” (& Jeanette) Adams; and his aunts, Anita Adams and Sharon Hall.
Visitation will be held Thursday (August 1, 2019) from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Thorn-Black Funeral Home, Cambridge, with additional visitation on Friday (August 2, 2019) from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday (August 2, 2019) at Thorn-Black Funeral Home, Cambridge, with Pastor Kenny Thomas officiating.
Burial will be at Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Muskingum County.
