Cynthia Ann "Cindy" Bushey, 58, of 395 Third St., Luray, died on Tuesday, Oct. 29, 2013.

She was born on Dec. 15, 1954, in Luray and was a daughter of Elsie Catherine Batman Spitler of Luray and the late Bernard Oswald Spitler.

Mrs. Bushey worked as clerk/treasurer for the Town of Luray, retiring in December 2004 with 31 years of service. She attended Main Street Baptist Church.

Surviving in addition to her mother and her husband, John R. Bushey, are a brother, Gregory B. Spitler of McGaheysville; a sister, Susan Miller of Fredericksburg; two stepdaughters, Julie Bushey Rogers of Forest, and Lisa Bushey Mackey of Bedford; two nephews, Jason Allen Spitler of Luray, and Christopher Miller of Ruther Glen; a niece, Lisa Baggett of Forest; and two step grandchildren.

A memorial service was conducted on Friday, Nov. 1, at the Bradley Funeral Home by the Rev. Erich Bennett.
