Our mother and grandmother, Edith Jerrolyn (Jerry) Duggins Prince, age 85, gently passed away in South Jordan on Tuesday, July 23, 2019. Jerry was married to her eternal companion, Ronald Leo Prince, on May 11, 1957. At the passing of Ronald in June 2015, they were married fifty-eight years.
Jerry is survived by her seven children, David R. (Laurie) Prince, Harold F. (Jennifer) Prince, Edwin L. (Marisela) Prince, Kendall W. Prince, Leo H. (Theresa) Prince, DeNise (Bret) Prince Wilkinson, and Lisa (Matt) Prince Stott. Jerry enjoyed twenty-nine grandchildren and twenty-seven great-grandchildren. Jerry is preceded in death by her parents, Wesley Sims Duggins and Helen Edith Bawden; as well as sisters, Audrey Helen Duggins and Ethel Deon Duggins Hansen.
Jerry was born in Gunnison, Sanpete County to Wesley Sims and Helen Bawden Duggins. In 1999, Ronald and Jerry were called to serve a mission together on the Nauvoo Temple restoration project. Mom was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
A viewing will be held on Saturday, July 27, 2019 from 1:00-1:45 p.m. in the Deerfield Ward Building, 4322 South 5400 West, West Valley City. The funeral service will follow immediately after the viewing at 2:00 p.m.
Interment will be in the Valley View Memorial Park, 4400 West 4100 South, West Valley City.
