She was the wife of H. F. Ray Weyandt
Mrs. Dora Florence Weyandt, 85, of St. Thomas, R.D. 1, formerly of Six Mile Run, passed away at 9 p.m. Sunday, October 28, 1973 at the home of her daughter and son-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Emerson E. Carbaugh of St. Thomas, R.D. 1, with whom she had resided. Mrs. Weyandt had been in failing health for the past four months.
A daughter of Frank and Jeanette (Manspeaker) Foor, she was born June 9, 1888 at Six Mile Run. On May 13, 1910, she married H. F. Ray Weyandt in Rays Cove. Her husband died July 1, 1949.
Surviving are these children: Willis W., Newport, Richie, Fla.; Paul E., Arlington, Va.; Chester F., Cleveland, Ohio; Mrs. Emerson (Ida) Carbaugh, St. Thomas, R.D. 1; and Mrs. John (Anna) Folk of Six Mile run, a foster daughter raised in the Weyandt home. There are 16 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren. One son is deceased.
Also surviving are a brother, Chester Foor of Bedford, and the following sisters: Mrs. Olive Stunkard, Chambersburg; Mrs. Sarah Whittlessey, Silver Spring, Md.; Mrs. Elsie Rankin, Defiance and Mrs. Ada Brumbaugh, Mount Morris, Illinois. One brother and one sister preceded in death.
The deceased was a member of the First Church of God in Chambersburg.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, October 31, at the Masood funeral chapel in Saxton. The Rev. William Wagner will officiate, and interment will be made in the Duvall Cemetery at Six Mile Run.
Friends may call at the funeral chapel from 7 p.m. tonight until time for services on Wednesday.
