Donnie Sutton, age 66, of the Sutton Town Community passed away Wednesday, June 5, 2019 at home surrounded by family.
He was preceded in death by his father, Lloyd Sutton.
Donnie is survived by his loving wife, Janet Lynn Moore Sutton; five children: one daughter, Yvonne Sutton King (David) and four sons, Gary Haney (Becky Ballard), Donnie Haney, Nathan Sutton, Daniel (Brendalynn) Sutton; three brothers, Burl (Linda) Sutton, Lonnie Sutton (Carleen Moody) and Doyle Sutton; one sister, Kathy Sutton; along with his mother, Ola Sutton; five grandchildren, Kaitlin Frady (Cruze), Candance and Kary McGoldrick, Wesley Sutton and Allyssa King and one very special great-granddaughter, Zaylee Frady; two nephews and one niece.
Donnie owned Sutton Automotive off Balsam Road for over 40 years. He specialized in transmissions, auto maintenance, repair, towing and wrecking services. In his off time, Donnie enjoyed NASCAR Racing, Bluegrass music and festivals.
Pallbearers will be Donnie Haney, Lonnie, Doyle, Nathan, Daniel and Burl Sutton, along with honorary pallbearers, Gary Haney and Dan Messer.
Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 pm, Monday, June 10, 2019, at Smoky Mountain Chapel with Pastor Doug Raynes and Pastor David King officiating. The family will receive friends on Sunday evening, June 9, 2019 from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm at Smoky Mountain Chapel. Burial will take place at Sutton Family Cemetery.
