JESSE HILL
April 10, 1939 ~ July 27, 2019

Jesse Hill, age 80, of Carrollton, TX passed away on Saturday, July 27, 2019 at the MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, TX.

He was born on April 10, 1939 in Seagraves, TX and grew up in Idabel, OK. A 1957 graduate of Idabel Gray High School, Jesse played on the basketball team and worked on the family farm.

Soon after graduation he moved to California to support his mother and siblings, where he met the love of his life, Olivia Burgess. They wed in Van Nuys, CA, on December 17, 1965 and welcomed their sons, Andrew and James, before returning to Jesse’s hometown of Idabel and working with his father as an Electrician at George Hill Electric. There, they welcomed another son, Steven, and spent many happy years raising the boys and keeping horses.

Jesse moved his family to Carrollton, TX in 1984, where he worked in property management. He was always known not only as the man who could fix anything, but as a friendly face who warmly welcomed every resident.

Jesse loved watching old western movies and tinkering with gadgets, and he was an avid Dallas Cowboys and Oklahoma Sooners football fan. But above all else, he loved and cherished his family. Jesse was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather who was happiest when his home was filled with his loved ones for holidays, birthday celebrations, or Sunday supper.

He was preceded in death by his father, George Hill; and his mother, Medrith Tittle Gill.

Jesse is survived by his wife, Olivia Hill of Carrollton, TX; his sons, Andrew Hill of Carrollton, TX, James Hill and Rhonda of Argyle, TX and Steven Hill and Jill of Coppell, TX;

Grandchildren, Noah Hill, Avery Hill and Bridgett Hill all of Argyle, TX, Luke Hill, Alex Hill, and Norah Hill all of Coppell, TX;

Brothers, Stan Gill and Linda of Pagosa Springs, CO, Phillip Gill and Pam of Grenada Hills, CA, Bruce Hill and Terri of Durant, OK, Ronnie Hill of Bonham, TX and Tommie Evans and Brenda of Longview, TX; a sister, Evie Johnson and Rex of Peyton, CO; several nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and many friends.

Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, July 30, 2019 at the Forest Hill Baptist Church. Interment will follow at the Forest Hill Cemetery with Wayne Warren officiating.
