R Allen and friend Bausman went on a fishing trip to Canada in the latter part of July. While canoeing up the French River near 'Five Mile Rapids' the boat upset. Bausman was resuced by their Indian guide, Robert was located two days later about 1000 yards from the accident. Bausman and the Indian Guide carried Robert's body 65 miles to the nearest RR station at Sturgeon Falls.
