Darla Kneller Dean, a resident of Grangerburg, AL, died Monday June 18, 2007 at Southeast Alabama Medical Center. She was 46 years old.

A Mass of Christian burial will be held 11:00 am Saturday, June, 23, 2007 at St. Columba Catholic Church with Father Patrick Gallagher officiating. Burial will follow in Sunset Memorial Park with Robert Byrd directing. The family will receive friends at McMullan Chapel, 4426 W. Main St., Dothan, AL, Saturday morning from 10 until service time. Flowers are being accepted and may be sent to Sunset Memorial Park and Funeral Home, 1808 Barrington Road.

Ms. Dean was born on June 22, 1960 in Oxnard, CA and resided in Pensacola, FL from 1970 until 1980. She resided in North Little Rock, AR until she moved to Grangerburg, AL in 1997. Ms. Dean was a graduate of Woodham High School in Pensacola, FL and Pensacola Jr. College. She was presently attending Wallace Community College Nursing School.

Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Ashley Dean (Cory) Pickard, Maumelle, AR; her son Jared Dean, Grangerburg, AL; a grandson, Harley McClellon Pickard, Maumelle, AR; parents, Edward and Bettye Kneller, Grangerburg, AL; her two sisters and brothers-in-law, Donna and Joe Nowling, Grangerburg, AL, and Mary and Clifford Richardson, Lamadera, NM; Godparents, Stephen Stubits, Decatur, AL, and Kathleen Krafty, Catasaqua, PA; an adopted aunt, Peggy Howard, Arcadia, FL; her aunts, Rita Macik, Hellertown, PA, and Kathleen (Robert) Krafty, Catasauqua, PA; an uncle, Charles (Sue) Kneller, Hellertown, PA; a niece, Meghan (Dwayne) Brock, Cowarts, AL; nephews, Sean, Matthew, and Harlan Richardson, Lamadera, NM.

She will be missed by her good friends, George Fields, Peggy Payne, Jamie Weaver, Beverly Thompson and by all her nursing associates and instructors at Wallace Community College.

Serving as active pallbearers will be George Fields, Rusty Tew, Earl Nowling, Vance Foxworth, David Simmons, Kevin Prater.

Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Dwayne Brock and Chris Nowling.
