William, eldest of the family of Guyon Morrison, Sr., was born probably in 1735. About the year 1760 he married Ann , and resided for a time in Chester county. On his removal to this region he settled on a tract in Peters township, near the east branch of Chartiers creek, where he resided until his death in July, 1818. His wife had died about twenty years before. They had issue: John, James, George, Elizabeth, Francis, Guyon, Ann, William, Jr., Seth and David.
