Lynn Eugene Beery, 70, of Wabash passed away Saturday, July 27 at Parkview Wabash Hospital.

Mr. Beery was born November 12, 1948 in Wabash County, Indiana, the son of the late Glen A. Beery and Maurine Brower Beery.

He attended the School of Hope in Wabash which was established by his parents, along with other parents of special needs children. This was the beginning of Arc of Wabash County in 1954. His parents were also instrumental in bringing Pathfinder Services and the Group Home setting to Wabash County.

Mr. Beery spent nearly 40 years employed at Workshop Enterprises in Wabash where he loved his job and going to work every day. He was lovingly cared for by Pathfinder Services at the Men’s Group Home in Wabash. His sense of humor and impish, innocent ways entertained everyone. Lynn always loved to imitate or dress as his favorite characters. Two memorable ones were his acting out of the swashbuckler and avenger Zorro by brandishing an imaginary saber in the 'sign of Zorro', and then growing his beard which transitioned to his wearing his Santa hat every Christmas, because he wanted to be our Santa. He loved his music and his Bible. His favorites were his guitar, his harmonica and gospel hymns.

Survivors include sisters, Joyce Beery Miles, (Bob) Lafayette, Indiana and Lois Beery Fulmer of Waynesville, North Carolina, and sister-in-law Connie Beery, North Manchester. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his beloved brother, Delbert.
