Jeff was a wonderful son, brother, uncle, and friend. We need to celebrate his life which ended too soon. He had a wonderful wit and a great sense of humor. He enjoyed many musical performances at the Overture Center and Marcus Performing Arts Center. He loved music and would often text a link to a song he thought would make someone happy. UW Football games were another favorite of his. He played golf and hockey, mostly in high school. He loved flowers and often gifted them. He enjoyed his trips to New Orleans and San Diego, Venice and Rome.
He loved Sasha, his long-haired Chihuahua. She brought him a great deal of happiness and was a wonderful companion.
Jeff is survived by his mother; his father; his sister, Melissa (Maurice) Newman; nieces and nephews, Tia, Casey, Caden and Amiyah; great-nephew, Isaiah; dog, Sasha; and many friends and extended family.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Etta and Leonard Rieck and William and Irene Newman; as well as other family members.
A memorial service will be held at ST. LUKE'S LUTHERAN CHURCH, 7337 Hubbard Ave., Middleton, at 6 p.m. on Saturday, July 13, 2019, with Rev. Heather Hayward presiding. Visitation will be held at the church from 5 p.m. until the start of the service on Saturday.
