Beloved husband of the late Barbara A. (Dilloyen) Plante. Born in Woonsocket, RI, Son of the late Romeo and Flore Ida (Gaulin) Plante.
Loving Father of Lisa A. and her husband Steven Shepardson of Bellingham, MA, Normand W. "Sam" and his wife Carolyn Plante of Blackstone, MA, Steven M. Plante of Holland, MA, 9 Grandchildren and 6 Great-Grandchildren. Brother of Raymond Plant of Tolland, CT, Gerald Plante of Blackstone, MA, Dorothy Pavoni of Grafton, MA, Pearl Gauthier of Blackstone, MA Estelle Violette of Woonsocket, RI, Jan Moretti of Bellingham, MA , and the late Robert Plante and Aline Zielinski.
Lifelong resident of Bellingham, MA and worked as a welder and master mechanic for Crognale Construction of Canton, MA for many years retiring in 1977 and previously worked at Saco Construction Co. of Bellingham, MA.
He was a US Army Veteran serving during the Korean War. Member of the VFW Post 7272 of Bellingham and the Millerville Mens Club Blackstone. Communicant of the former Assumption Church Bellingham and St. Theresa Church Blackstone. He enjoyed repairing small engines and was an avid NASCAR Fan and as devoted to his family.
Funeral will be held Monday 9:00 AM from CARTIER'S FUNERAL HOME 151 So. Main St. (Route 126) Bellingham, MA with a Mass of Christian Burial 10:00AM in St. Theresa Church 630 Rathbun St. Blackstone, MA.
Interment St. Jean Baptiste Cemetery Bellingham, MA. Visiting hours Sunday 4-7PM. Relatives and friends invited to attend. In lieu of flowers Memorial donations to: VNA Care Network 120 Thomas St., Worcester, MA 01608-1280 would be appreciated.
