Craig Steven Henderson, age 65, passed away on October 12, 2018, in Uganda, Africa. He was born November 8, 1952, in Detroit, Michigan, to Arthur Stanley Henderson and Sibyl June Waters Henderson.
Craig was a Master Carpenter, and known to be a man who had a heart full of love for all who came into his life. He loved spending time with his family and it was always important to him that they knew how much he cherished them. His relationship with his Father in Heaven was also of utmost importance to him and he lived Christ's example to the best of his ability. He was always one to reach for his dreams and encouraged others to do the same. He was kind and gentle while being strong and principled. Many lives were touched and enriched by his love, humility, advice, skill, and companionship. He had a love and zest for life that gave him a wonderful sense of humor, and which included pranks that we still laugh about, and many daring moments that were a lot of fun. His love of dancing, which came to him through his parents, brought him to his wife, and was passed down to his children. He always enjoyed the rush of adrenaline, had a knack for making fast vehicles of all kinds even faster and reveled in making his passengers and onlookers squeal. He worked hard, played hard, lived, and loved life by his own set of rules.
He is survived by ChamBria Joi Timbrel; their children Enoch Ahman (Season), Leah Chelyse, Kanani Makana (Nicholas Voegeli), and Leticia Alyssa (Ishmael Hall); and his grandchildren Anaya Grace, Dustin Arthur Stanley, Lily Belle Henderson, Gabriel Jackman-Voegeli, and Mia Jade Hall; sisters, Barbara (Brent) Clarke and Denise Downing; many nieces and nephews and others he loved dearly. He is preceded in death by his parents and brother Bruce (Catharine) Henderson.
Family and friends, we are requesting your presence at a Celebration of Life on Craig's birthday, November 8, 2018, at the Mesa Cemetery Urn Garden. There will be a lunch hour Come & Go from 11am - 1pm or you can attend an informal service from 3pm - 5pm with eulogies starting at 4pm.
