Funeral services will be held tomorrow morning at 11 o'clock at the Moritz Funeral Home, Tappan, for Clarence M Cornell, 77, who died Friday. Interment will be in the Tappan Reformed Church Cemetery.

Wawayanda Lodge F & A M, will hold Masonic services at the funeral home at eight o'clock this evening.

Mr Cornell was born Dec 26, 1879 in Gilboa. His family had resided in Schoharie County since pre-Revolutionary days and he was a direct descendant of David Ellerson, famous scout of the Revolution. He was distantly related to Ezra Cornell, who founded Cornell University. He was the son of Orlando Cornell and Marion Ellerson.

For about 40 years, Mr Cornell was a salesman for Rustcraft Greeting Cards. he retired on March 1, 1955, just two years to the day before his death. He lived for many years in Brooklyn and moved to Tappan about ten years ago.

He is survived by his wife, Mrs Sophia A Cornell, the former Sophia Dula; three sons, Herbert H Cornell of West Newbury, Mass, John E Cornell of Princeton NJ and Edward D Hoffman of Tappan; a daughter, Mrs John T Moorhead of Memphis, Tenn, and ten grandchildren.
