Obituary for Mitchell Wade McKnight

Mitchell Wade McKnight, 56, of Mooresville, NC, passed away on Tuesday, May 28, 2019.

He was born on July 14, 1962 in Mooresville, NC to Linda Light McKnight and the late Francis Brannon McKnight. Mitchell was a great musician and played bass guitar in several bands; most recently playing in One Eyed Mule and Rising Ashes. Mitchell enjoyed riding motorcycles, working on cars, and racing at the drag strip. He was an avid target shooter and an animal lover. Mitchell was known for his smile, great sense of humor, and being a good friend.

He is survived by his mother, Linda Light McKnight; his beloved cat, Grouchy; an aunt and uncle and several cousins.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, June 1 from 1:00-2:00 PM with a graveside service following at 2:30 PM at Willow Valley Cemetery, Mooresville.
