He passed away peacefully surrounded by family and friends. He was preceded in death by his grandparents Paul and Marjorie Jelense, Clarence and Ruth Williams and his mother Paulette Williams. He is survived by his father Richard Williams, siblings David, Paul and Todd Williams and Stephanie Augustus, his aunt and godmother Suzanne Hoodecheck and his nephews Kyle, Nate and Braden and niece Brenna, "as well as an amazing group of friends." In lieu of flowers, the family wished donations to be made to the Colon Cancer Coalition where on their website a tribute page called Get a Colonoscopy! has been set up in Jon's memory.
