Teresa Lynn (Vanzant) Helms, 34, passed away Wednesday, June 27, 2007, at Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis. She was a resident of Franklin. She was born May 18, 1973, in Franklin to Larry Vanzant and Rita (Fletcher) Garrison.
She is survived by her husband, Don Helms of Franklin; her father and stepmother, Larry and Janet Vanzant of Franklin; her mother and stepfather, Rita and John Garrison Sr. of Greenwood; three sisters, Andrea Renee (Jeff) Yates of Indianapolis and Lisa Vanzant and Amy Vanzant, both of Franklin; a stepbrother, John Andrew (Lori) Garrison Jr. of Indianapolis; a stepsister, Julia (Bill) Tomery of Indianapolis; her maternal grandmother, Hazel Wyatt of Trafalgar; her paternal grandmothers, Goldie Vanzant of Corbin, Ky., and Geneva Ray of Trafalgar; and several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. She was preceded in passing by her maternal grandfather, George Wyatt.
She was a graduate of Brownsburg High School. Teresa was a dietitian with Franklin United Methodist Community. Teresa was christened at Locust Grove Pentecostal Church at birth and was a member of Christian Chapel Church in Morgantown. Teresa enjoyed fishing and spending time with her family.
Services were entrusted to Flinn and Maguire Funeral Home of Franklin, Indiana.
