Bluefield, WV- Rita Ruth Fox, 68, of Bluefield, WV, died Friday July 26, 2019 at Princeton Community Hospital.
Born July 9, 1951 in Richlands, VA, she was a daughter of James Oscar Hagy and Afton Lowe Hagy.
Mrs. Fox worked as a Custodian for Tazewell County Schools. She was a member of Grace Full Gospel Church where she loved to sing. She loved music and playing the piano. Mrs. Fox also enjoyed sewing and spending time with her grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Ralph Edward Fox; and two brothers, Charlie and Roy Hagy.
Survivors include her husband, James Ed Fox; children, Michael Fox and wife Ashley of Tazewell Co., VA, Christine Ewald and husband Glenn of Bluefield, and Steve Fox and wife Kristina of Bluefield, WV; siblings, Jane Mitchell and husband Glen of Roanoke, VA, Gene Hagy and wife Mary of TN, and Freda Fox and husband Grat of Tazewell County, VA; seven grandchildren, T.J., Brooke, Timmy, Michael, Jr., Ashley, Amber, and Cayden; four great-grandchidlren, Tyler Morgan, Emma, Tyler Fox, Alexis, Joshua, and Colton; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted on Sunday July 28, 2019 from the Mercer Funeral Home Chapel at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor Rick Stacy officiating. The family will receive friends on Sunday from 1:00 p.m. until the service hour.
Entombment will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Park in Bluewell, WV where family members and friends will serve as pallbearers.
