Phyllis Clark Page was the youngest of six sisters, the daughter of Charles Andrew "Charlie"Page (1862-1944), a riverboat engineer and Sarah Miranda "Sallie" Swan (1872-1943). She was born in Olive Township, Meigs County, Ohio and raised on the Ohio river at Williamstown, Wood County, West Virginia. She married Ernest Edward "Slim" Zimmerman October 15, 1924. They had one son, Richard Edward "Dick" Zimmerman, born December 25, 1927. The marriage was short-lived and Phyllis and her son lived with her family members in Williamstown, while she worked, primarily in a silk mill in Wood County. Phyllis moved to Columbus to pursue employment, leaving her son in Williamstown in the care of J. Edward Page (her father's first cousin) and his wife Carrie Uhl Page. Phyllis later married Vernon Shaw. Phyllis died at the age of 54, the wife of Vernon Shaw, residing at 2744 W. Fairfield Street, Chicago, Illinois. She was buried on January 6, 1960 at Elmwood Cemetery in River Grove, Illinois, Section 22, Lot 163, Grave 4. Both Grave 4 and the adjacent Grave 3 were purchased by her widowed husband in February 2, 1960. Grave 3 remains empty as of July 26, 2019.
