Samuel J Barrick, son of Samuel Barrick and Sophia Rice. Born in 1826 in Maryland. Samuel was a cabinet maker.

Married Cynthia Ann Carson on March 1, 1849 in Boone County, Indiana. Samuel served in the civil war. Civil War: Indiana 63rd Infantry, Company I. Mustered in August 9, 1862. Mustered out June 21, 1865.


Cynthia died while Samuel was off at war. Together they had at least:

Married: Nettie Navel on 19 Jan 1903 in Niagara Falls, Welland, Ontario, Canada. Served in the military, enlisted Zionsville, Boone Co, Indiana (although the city was most likely misspelled on a document that a relative saw.)
