Montgomery - MORGAN, Ben, a resident of Montgomery, AL, was born in Caddo Parish, Louisiana to Obie C. and Elizabeth Craig Morgan. He departed this life on Monday, July 22, 2019. Funeral services will be held Saturday, July 27, 2019 at 1 p.m., from Holt Street Church of Christ, 945 S. Holt St., Montgomery, AL, with Bro. Jerome Barnes of Northside Church of Christ in Butler, AL, officiating; Bro. Eric Thornton, Minister. Burial will follow at Gilmer Cemetery in Pike Road, AL with Ross-Clayton Funeral Home directing. Ben met and married the love of his life, Ruth Jones of Montgomery and to this union, their son Kevin was born. He was baptized into the Church of Christ and was a faithful member of the Holt Street Church of Christ until his death. Ben was a natural-born salesman with good work ethics. He was employed in various insurance and other sales-related positions before becoming the owner and operator of his own business, Morgan Monument Service. Ben is survived by his loving wife Ruth Jones Morgan and their son Kevin M. Morgan, both of Montgomery, Alabama; special friends, Jim Hughes and John Hunter; and a host of nieces, nephews, special cousins, including Louise Green, other relatives and friends. A special thanks is extended to the caring staff of Baptist Hospice.
