Helena Eugenia, daughter of Abram and Sarah C. LaBounty, was born July 31, 1861, near G_man, Ill., and departed this life November 21, 1943, at her home in Nelson, Nebr., at the age of 82 years, 3 months and 21 days. She grew to womanhood in Illinois and moved to Nuckolls County, Nebr., in 1885. She was married to David Huffman April 10, 1891. To this union was born one daughter, Edna M. who survives her mother.

Mrs. Huffman moved to Nelson in 1900. She united with the Christian Church at Ox Bow in 1896 and transferred her membership to Nelson in 1900, where she was a faithful attendant as long as her health permitted.

She was the last of a family of eleven children. Besides the daughter she is survived by a large number of nieces and nephews, and a host of friends.

The funeral services were conducted by Rev. C.M. Foust at the Christian church (sic) at 2:30 o'clock Tuesday afternoon.
