Marvin Frederick Edwards, Jr of Acworth GA passed away peacefully July 13, 2019. He was born in Wilson NC August 6, 1939, parents were Doretha Whitehead Edwards and Marvin Frederick Edwards. He graduated from high school in his hometown of Wilson NC. He met his wife Linda in Portsmouth VA where he worked for Thom McCan shoes. They married then moved to Richmond VA then Virginia Beach VA then Marietta GA working for Thom McCan for 30+ years. After that he opened world famous Fred’s Hot Dogs then drove a school bus for Cobb Co then he retired. He enjoyed boating, watching the Braves on TV and having Tuesday morning breakfast with buddies at Al’s. He loved spending time with his family most.

He is survived by his wife of 59 years Linda Morris Edwards Acworth Ga, Daughters Cynthia Hendrix, Canton Ga and Laurie Bennett, Bethel ME, Grandchildren, Christopher Chandler, Richard Chandler, Allyson Chandler, Joshua Hendrix and Jessica Hendrix; Great Grandchildren, Addison Chandler Ethridge , Wesley Hendrix and Hadley Marie Chandler.

The service will be August 10, 2019, 10am at Collins Funeral Home, 4947 N. Main St., Acworth, GA, 770-974-3133. The Family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
