Appalachian Regional Hospital. He was born Oct. 25, 1948, a son of Ernest Casey of
Sharps Chapel, Tenn., and the late Mildred Casey. He was employed as a time keeper by
the Kentucky Department of Transportation, and was a U.S. Army veteran. He is survived
by his wife, (Francis) Jean Casey; one daughter, Missy Varney of Cynthiana; one
sister, Phillis A. Casey of Farmington Hills, Mich.; and two grandchildren. Funeral
services will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, June 24, at the Peter Creek Primitive
Baptist Church with Jimmy Lee Smith, Everett Brizendine and Mike Smith officiating.
Burial will follow in the Ray Smith Cemetery, Smith Fork of Phelps. Arrangements are
under direction of R.S. Jones & Son Funeral Home-Phelps Chapel of Phelps.
