OBITUARY
Sandra Lee Warren
April 12, 1941 – May 30, 2017

andra Lee Warren, 76, passed away peacefully in her home on Tuesday May 30th, 2017 after a courageous battle with Cancer. She was born April 12th, 1941 in Pocatello Idaho to JB and Ada Hancock and was later adopted by her loving father Homer Hays. Sandy attended Walla Walla High School, graduating in 1959, and then attended Washington State University where she studied Physical Education. She was a loyal Cougar fan and remained true to the Crimson and Gray despite her brothers attempts to sway her to the Purple side. She moved to Renton, WA in 1964 where she met and married Ralph “Smokey” Warren on November 18th, 1965. They bought their first home in Renton where they lived until 1994. She then moved to Orting, WA where the “Patterson House” became the headquarters of fun for her friends, family, and especially her grandkids. Whether it was building snowmen, midnight swims, or 2am Mario Party battles, grandma was always willing and she always won! Sandy worked as a computer operator for Schuck’s Auto Supply for 17 years and 7 years for Darigold before retiring in 1999. She was very passionate about the Mariners [especially Kyle Seager] and enjoyed coaching women’s softball and girl’s fast-pitch. She also enjoyed raising Shih-Tzu’s and operated her own kennel from 2000-2008. Sandy was proceeded in death by her husband Smokey Warren and two of her brothers, Brent Hancock and Don Hancock.
