Susan Lynn Atwood, age 68 of Crivitz, WI passed peacefully into eternal life July 22, 2019. Susie was born in Milwaukee, WI on May 31, 1951.
She graduated from Menominee Falls High School in 1969 and moved to the Crivitz area with her family in 1971.
Susie enjoyed serving people throughout her lifetime of waitressing at The Platter Restaurant, R Family Restaurant, Shaffer’s Restaurant, and Soup to Nuts Store. She always greeted guests with a genuine smile. If you were lucky enough to be with her on your birthday, she would sing you her special version of the Happy Birthday song. Her greatest love however, was to serve the Lord. Her faith was evident through her words and actions.
As a member of Grace Lutheran Church in Crivitz, she was active in ladies bible study and ladies aid. She especially loved spending time with family and playing with her nieces, nephews, adopted grandkids and cat Moses.
She was preceded in death by her mother and father Carol and Andrew Churka; husband Edward [1/14/1954-1/30/2011 Crivitz, WI]; sister Debbie Ahrens and brother-in-law David Aho.
Susie is survived by her loving husband Dale Atwood;
son Dustin (Misty) Atwood;
sisters: Kathy Aho and Kitty (Derick) Paider;
stepchildren: Dale (Renee) Atwood, Chad (Margie) Atwood and Shara (Rich) Malone.
Brother-in-law Steve Ahrens.
14 step grandchildren, 8 step great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Family will greet relatives and friends Sunday, August 4 at Grace Lutheran Church, 716 Henriette Ave. Crivitz, from 12:00 noon until the time of the service at 2:00 pm.
