Virginia Ellen Armstrong Arnold, 99, of Chattanooga passed away on Wednesday, July 24, 2019. She was a life-long resident of Chattanooga and attended East Lake Baptist Church and East Ridge Baptist Church. Virginia was a member of the Lioness Club East Lake Chapter and the Chattanooga Republican Womens Club. She loved spending time with her grandkids, great-grandkids and family.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 71 years, Dee Arnold; brother, Jim Armstrong, Jr. and sister in law, Jeanette Armstrong.
Survivors include her son, Dee (Mary Ruth) Arnold; grandchildren, Kim Arnold, Kristi (Tim) Spires and Dee (Joni) Arnold III; great-grandchildren, Karleigh, Kendall, Kelsey, Ella Beth, J.D. and Jaci; special friend, Eloaine Brown; along with several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends 11-1 PM Saturday at Heritage Funeral Home, Battlefield Parkway.
A graveside service will be held 1:30 PM Saturday at Lakewood Memory Gardens, South with Jeff Daniels officiating.
