Lana Beth Saffell Johnson, 78 of Saffell died Tuesday, July 23, 2019. She was born, October 12, 1940 to Hollie Thomas and Hattie Orlean (Willmuth) Saffell. She was a retired beautician and was also a seamstress and quilter. She was a member of the Pleasant Hill Missionary Baptist Church at Lynn where she was active in Ladies Auxiliary and played the piano. She enjoyed going to yard sales and flea markets, making crafts, and going to her grandchildren and great grandchildren’s ballgames.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Wayne Johnson and two brothers, Billie Saffell and Tommie Saffell.
Survivors include two sons; Scotty Johnson (Linda) and Todd Johnson (Marnie) both of Saffell; two sisters, Lorena Hubbard and Venita Doyle (Jimmy) both of Saffell; 6 grandchildren, Boue Johnson (Brandi), Eric Johnson (Amber), Megan Jones (Jared), Natalie Johnson, Paige Johnson and Blaine Johnson; 7 great grandchildren, Cole Johnson, Carly Jo Johnson, Gus Jones, Wade Jones, Noah Jones, Jaxon Johnson and Jasper Johnson; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be Sunday, July 28, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. at the Pleasant Hill Missionary Baptist Church at Lynn with Bro. Jeff Neeley officiating. Burial will follow in the Saffell Cemetery with arrangements by Qualls Funeral Home of Cave City.
Visitation will be Saturday, July 27, 2019 from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. at the church.
