He was born September 18, 1926 in Ballinger, Texas the son of Roland E. and Julia Ellen Fullen Lee.
Following graduation from high school, he attended and graduated from Texas A & M.
He was married to Wilma Marie Krause on May 27, 1950. She preceded him in death on February 14, 2010.
He served in the U. S. Navy during the Korean War. He had lived in the Elm Grove Community since 1983 moving there from Richardson. He was very active in the Elm Grove Rodeo, loved working on his ranch, a very strong supporter of the Aggie Century Club, an avid tennis player up until the age of 87, and a founder of the Brownwood Chess Club. He was a member of the Saint Mary’s Queen of Peace Catholic Church in Brownwood.
Survivors include three daughters, Ellen Schoenbeck and husband Dave of Cave Creek, Arizonia, Ann Lein of League City, Texas and Nancy Lee of Coppell, four sons, Mark Lee and wife Kim of Seminole, Florida, Matthew Lee of Mequon, Wisconsin, Andrew Lee and wife Gina of Watagua, Texas, and Daniel Lee of Plano, Texas, fifteen grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, three brothers and four sisters.
Funeral mass will be recited at 10 AM on Friday, July 26, at Saint Mary’s Catholic Church with burial to follow in the Cox Cemetery in McCulloch County.
Visitation will be held from 5 – 7 on Thursday at Davis-Morris Funeral Home.
