1929 ~ 2013 Willard K. Carroll passed away peacefully at his home June 24, 2013. He was born August 3, 1929, the youngest of 11 to Charles Moulton Carroll and Lydia Matilda Kartchner Carroll. He married Kathryn Dixie Clark March 29, 1949 who preceded him in death after 53 years of marriage. He is survived by his three daughters; Christinia (Tinia) Drennan (Robert L.), Constance (Connie) Overly (Kent C.) and Catherine (Kate) Rockwood (Scott C.), 9 grandchildren and 19.5 great-grandchildren, and his dear friend for the past several years, Lorene Mark. Dad grew up working hard: farm chores, thinning beets, throwing hay, Jensen Brick Co, and Geneva Steel in Orem. From an early age he excelled in all sports, received all state honors in basketball (1947) and awarded a BYU scholarship. He was known for his teasing and fun sense of humor, his love for life and the game of golf. He was a charter member of Alpine Country Club and was actively playing the course just three weeks ago. With many attempts in his lifetime, he did have 1 hole in 1. Dad will be missed by all who knew him. Graveside services will be held at Holladay Memorial Park, 4900 S Memory Lane (1990 E) Holladay at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, June 28, 2013 followed by a celebration of life at Alpine Country Club. On-line condolences may be shared with the family at www.memorialutah.com Funeral Directors: Holladay-Cottonwood Memorial Mortuary.
