Arlene M. Furman Stambaugh, 86, of the ECC Retirement Village-Albright Campus, formerly of Mayflower Drive, Myerstown, died Thursday, Jan. 20, 2005, in the home. She was the wife of the late Kenneth Fuhrman, who died in 1984, and the late John Stambach, who died in 2004.
Born April 15, 1918, in Mt. Aetna, she was a daughter of the late Ammon and Emma Miller Weik. She and her first husband were the original owners of Fuhrman's Dinner, now known as Kumm Esse Dinner, Myerstown. They built the dinner in 1962 and operated it until their retirement in 1972. She enjoyed ballroom dancing and traveling.
Surviving are a daughter, Mary, wife of Franklin Windle of Myerstown; brothers Grant, husband of Grace Weik, Roy Weik and Allen, husband of Kathleen Weik, all of Myerstown; sister Helen, wife of John LeGay of Myerstown; two grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by sister Catherine Troutman and brothers Guy, Raymond and Henry Weik.
