Brenda Joyce Carson, 72, of Clyde died Sunday, July 21, 2019 in an Abilene hospital.

A graveside service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, July 25, 2019 at Admiral Cemetery under the direction of Bailey Howard Funeral Home of Clyde. Visitation will be held from 6:00 until 7:30 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

Brenda was born January 7, 1947 in Levelland to Kenneth and Joyce (Huddleston) Freeman.

She attended school in Abilene and graduated from Abilene High School.

She was a property manager in Commerce and the Dallas/Ft. Worth area for many years.

Brenda was full of life and loved her family, especially her grandchildren.

She is survived by her son Michael Cherry of Clyde; daughter Martha Pechacek and husband Eric of Clyde; brother Mike Freeman and wife Karen of Arlington; two grandchildren, Codi Clark and husband Patrick of Baird and Caitlin Pechacek of Santo; five great grandchildren, Kaydnz, Kynlee, Bristol, Brylie and Kooper and her first husband and love of her life, Larry Joe Cherry of May.

Brenda was preceded in death by her parents, her second husband Charlie Carson, two sisters, Linda and Shirley and her best friend Frankie Davis.

The family would like to say thank you to the employees of the Clyde United Pharmacy for their care, support and special attention over the years, to Amanda, her caregiver and friend with Girling Health Care, and also to Clay and D.J., the nurses in CCU at Hendrick Medical Center who took wonderful care of Brenda and her family.
