Lt. in unit of state militia in New Windsor [between Augusta & nearly to Aiken...maybe became Aiken, SC] in 1757. Got a 350 acre grant in Granville Co, SC in 1757 and 500 acres on Pen Branch 1758 & 1765 and 1000 acres in 1760-61 lease & release from Joseph Hunt; mentioned as a plantar & executor of will of Edward Jevins, late of New Windsor and now of Silver Bluff [the old site is near the S. C. edge of the bluffs on the Savannah River downstream from Augusta); of New Windsor then St. Bartolomews Parrish, SC; Alexander Shaw vs. Thomas Couliette judgement; named in 1762 plat for Thomas Filput for 100 acres Executor of will of Edward Jevins (dated 1753), which will mentions residue of estate of Alexander Shaw.
