Monte Ray Johnson went to be with the Lord on Sunday, October 15, 2017. Visitation will begin at noon, Saturday, October 21, 2017 at Glad Tidings Assembly of God, 314 E. Army Post Road, Des Moines. His funeral will begin at 1 p.m.

Monte was passionate about being a salesman at Midwest Construction and successfully established many friends and relationships at work. He loved his family and many friends. Monte was always there to help wherever needed.

He loved the Dallas Cowboys and fishing with his nephews Cody and Cole Peebler. He was proud of being in the Navy during 1986. Monte's family would like to thank the following for their love and support: the Clark, Peebler, and Bohlen families and many friends and coworkers.

Monte was preceded in death by his grandmother Frances Edwards and his father Hubert Johnson.

Monte is survived by his wife, Stefanie; mother, Barbara; two sons, Aaron and Zachary Johnson who live out of state; siblings and those he considered family: Faith Johnson, Brent (Bonnie) Johnson, Todd Johnson, Laura Van Horn, and Sonia Peebler and family. His family and many friends will miss him greatly til we see him again in Heaven.
