Brenda Kay Brooks, 60, of Columbia, MO, passed away on Sunday, July 21, 2019, at her home in Columbia.

Brenda was born on June 4, 1959, in Clarence, MO, the daughter of Zeke Mitchell and Louella Douglas. She enjoyed watching her Lifetime and SyFy movies and especially spending time with her family.

Brenda is survived by her husband, Clarence Brooks, four children, Leanne Douglas of Columbia, Michael Douglas of Columbia, Latisha Mendez and her husband Ezequiel of Columbia, and Kristen Douglas of Columbia, eleven grandchildren, Stephfon, Isaiah, Cherokee, Javian, Tatyama, Deandre, Xavier, Ezequiel, Tashawnda, Latrell, and Kenicia, two great-grandchildren, Princeton and Kingston, three brothers, Melvin, Clinton, and Leslie, two sisters, Lisa and Amanda, and nieces, nephews, in-laws, and other extended family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and one sister, Gwen.

Funeral services will be at 2:00 pm, Friday, July 26, 2019, at the Greening-Eagan-Hayes Funeral Home in Clarence. Burial will be in the Clarence City Cemetery. Visitation will be from 1-2 pm, on Friday, at the funeral home in Clarence. The family suggests memorials to the family.
