BR. Kennerly Rumford enjoyed a successful career as a concert Baritone and was a vocal pupil of George Henschel and Alfred Blume of London. "Bertie", as he was called by his family, was married to Dramatic Contralto Clara Ellen Butt on June 26, 1900 in the Bristol Cathedral amid scenes of spectacular enthusiasm such as that usually reserved for Royalty or State occasions. Bertie died at Brooke Lodge, North Stoke, Oxfordshire.
