She had made her home in Gillespie for 48 years.
Mrs. Jones was born Sept. 30, 1873 in England, the daughter of Thomas and Elizabeth Wilde Tippins, coming to Gillespie in 1908 from Braceville.
Her husband, A.L. Jones, died 18 years ago.
She was a member of the O.E.S. and White Shrine.
Surviving are eight sons, George, Richard and Archie, all of Gillespie; Elmer, Robert and Lincoln, all of Springfield; Arthur, of Chicago; and John, of Nokomis; two daughters, Mrs. Borrell and Mrs. Joe Frew, of Edwardsville; 22 grandchildren; and 19 great-grandchildren; a sister, Mrs. Albert Seaman, of Joilet.
Remains were removed to the Union funeral home in Gillespie to the Methodist church for services there.
Burial was in Gillespie City cemetery.
