Sean Stephen McLafferty,age 34, was received by his eternal maker on Wednesday,Nov. 24,2010, in Grand Rapids,Mich.
Sean was born on May 1.1976, to Joseph and Becky McLafferty. He spent his early years in St. Ignace, Mich. Growing up Sean was an avid athlete who had a passion for sports including football,hockey,basketball and track. Sean went on to play football for his beloved Ferris State Bulldogs in Big Rapids,Mich.,while receiving both his Bachelor's and Master's degrees. Among Sean's many accomplishments was recognition for his academic achievement during his football career. Sean was a project manager for Amway Global Headquarters in Ada,Mich.
Sean is survived by his wife: Amanda Wood McLafferty; and two year old daughter; Audrey; parents: Joe and Becky McLafferty; sister and brother-in-law; Colleen and Michael Bauer; grandfather; James E. Smith; aunts and uncles; Patrick Smith (Jeannie), Mari Smith McLafferty, Terrence Smith (Brenda), Linda Staszak (Geno),Tom Watchorn (Vicki); cousins: Sarah,Colin,Taylor,Natasha,Danielle,Nichole,Tom,David; mother-in-law: Jennifer Wood; father-in-law; Dean Wood (Laura);brother-in-law; Jeremy Wood: and sister-in-law; Sharon Liner (Louis). He was further survived by nieces and nephews: Kaleigh, Elianna,Seth,Lillian and Olivia; along with countless other friends and family who were blessed to know him.
Sean graced the lives of many people with his smile,enthusiasm and love.
His funeral will be held Saturday, Dec 4,2019 at 11 a.m. at St. Thomas of the Apostle Catholic church in Manitowoc. There will be a luncheon to follow the service.
Visitation hours will be held Friday,Dec 3,2010. from 4 to 8 p.m. and Saturday,Dec 4, 2010 from 9 to 11 a.m. prior to the service.
