Brenda Joyce Lane was born on July 24, 1940 in Birchton, WV to her late parents, Tivis and Emma (Walls) Payne. She passed away on July 21, 2019 in Charleston, WV at the age of 78. Brenda leaves behind to cherish her memory, her daughter, Pamela (Bob) Dibartolo, sons, Robert (Alyssia) Pettry, Darryl (Tammy) Pettry, and John (Angie Gardner) Lane; grandchildren Brenda Lee, James, Amy, Jadie, Rob, Timmy, Brittany, John Jr., Ryan, and Carlin; great-granchildren Ashley, Emily, Haley, Kylie, Victor, Christopher, Brady, Rob, Kolten, Tyler, Trey, Damien, Devon, Trenton, Wyatt, and Weston; great-great grandchildren Aubrey, JJ., and Amiyah; sisters Pauline Phenicie, Joan Weeks, and twin sister Linda Walker; many nieces, nephews, friend Shannon Mullins Lane and friends whom will miss her dearly. Brenda will also be missed by her best canine friend, Nakita. Brenda is preceded in death by her loving husband of 44 years, Carlos Lane; her parents; brother Donald Payne Sr.; sisters Joretta Dearing, Patricia Soulsby, Connie Floyd, and Dorothy Payne. Brenda loved to spend her time playing yatzee, rummy, and solving word searches. She cherished her family and faith most of all. The family will receive friends for visitation on Saturday, July 27, 2019 at Blue Ridge Funeral Home from 11 am – 1 pm at Blue Ridge Funeral Home. Funeral service will begin at 1 pm. Brenda will be laid to rest with her loving husband, Carlos, following the service. Blue Ridge Funeral Home has been entrusted with arrangements.
